The Facts on the Spot-tailed Quoll
Do you recognise this character?
Marty is a Spot-tailed Quoll. He is a native Australian marsupial and is listed as endangered, due partly to the impact climate change is having on his habitat.

Marty
The Spot-tailed Quoll is the largest of four species of quoll found in Australia. Unfortunately, since 1990, the numbers of quoll have declined dramatically. This is mainly because of habitat loss across Australia, and introduced predators such as foxes and cats.
Spot-tailed Quolls have a pointed snout, a long tail and brown to black fur with white spots. They are lively animals, with bright eyes, a pink nose and many sharp teeth.
They are mainly active at night. Typically, they spend the day in one of their many dens, although they can sometimes be seen basking in the sunshine.
The Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) have a fascinating fact sheet on the Spot-tailed Quoll which you are certain to enjoy reading.
