Introduction

The sample educational resource material on this website is taken from 'Construct a water wheel', one of the projects offered as part of EngQuest 2010.

In the 'Student Content' section (top menu), your students will discover interesting information about what simple machines are and how they make work easier for us. There is also some background information on water wheels.

The accompanying water wheel curriculum-linked lesson and activity ideas and student activity sheets for middle/upper primary students are also available on this site.

In the 'Interactives' section (top menu), students can enjoy an interactive quiz and the EngQuest Simple Machines Animation.

The 'Construct a water wheel' project material, i.e. the instructions on how to make a water wheel, are not included on this website. 'Construct a water wheel' project material, along with all the other EngQuest 2010 projects and the supporting education resource material, is available at www.engquest.org.au
