EngQuest 2010

Home > For Your Calendar - Special Events > EngQuest 2010

Celebrating its eighth successful year in 2010, EngQuest is a fun, hands-on, problem-solving project that all primary students, right across Australia, are certain to enjoy. The program is an initiative of Engineers Australia and is delivered FREE of charge to Australian schools.

Last year, more than 11,000 students participated in EngQuest.

Primary school students work in teams, at their own pace, applying their problem-solving skills to design, construct and unravel exciting engineering projects.

Would you and your students like to construct a catchment or a water wheel? Why not try building a bridge using straws, or even a giant newspaper dome large enough to accommodate the entire class?

There is also a new solar cooker project for 2010!

Dedicated EngQuest representatives are available Australia-wide to provide you with ongoing support throughout the program. They will help you find an engineer to visit your school.

EngQuest is loads of fun for all involved!

A sample of the education support material for the 'Construct a water wheel' EngQuest project is provided on this website in the 'Education Resources' section. There are also two IWB student interatives.
