Global Wind Day

Home > For Your Calendar - International > Global Wind Day

Global Wind Day is a worldwide event that occurs annually on 15 June. It is a day for discovering wind, its power and the possibilities it offers for changing our world.

It is also a day to discover the work that is already being done by pioneers around the globe. Wind farms are in operation in more than 75 countries, generating energy from a clean and renewable source.

Thousands of individuals are involved in the production of energy from the wind but, for many people, wind energy remains a mystery.

Curriculum resource material is available from the Clean Energy Council's education website: cleanenergycouncil.org.au/education
