The Heart Foundation Jump Rope for Heart was established in 1983 and is renowned for being a popular physical activity and fundraising event in schools.

More than 90% of all Australian schools, that's 8 million school children, have participated in this fun and active program. Each year the event attracts over 400,000 students in over 2,300 schools with over 700,000 sponsors comprising families, friends and members of local school communities.
