"Taste the Difference, Feel the Difference, Make a Difference"
Now in its third year, National Organic Week (NOW) is 10 days of media and locally-staged activities designed to increase awareness of the benefits of organic products and farming production systems in the wider Australian community and environment.
The Centre for Organic & Resource Enterprises (CORE) in collaboration with Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA) host and promote National Organic Week.
Did you know?
- Farm sales of organic food products in Australia have grown by 80 per cent since 2004.
- With 11,988,044 hectares, Australia accounts for the largest amount of certified organic farmland in the world.
- Major shops in Australia now carry more than 500 different organic fresh food and grocery items.
- It takes three years to become an Australian Certified Organic producer.
