Introduction

To coincide with the 2010 Commonwealth Games in October, Australia Post is once again running their popular letter link program, which encourages students to write to Australian athletes in Delhi.

In the 'student content' section you will find a list of interesting facts about the Commonwealth Games, Australian athletes and India.

There is a sample of the Letter Link lesson and activity ideas and student activity sheets, found on the Letter Link website. All Letter Link activities are copyright free for use in your classroom.

In the 'Interactives' section there are three fun and engaging student interactives, ideal for use on an IWB, which will help students write a letter, assess their Commonwealth Games knowledge and test their memories.

A free Letter Link 2010 education resource pack is available for Australian teachers to request. The pack includes an eight page teacher resource, two classroom posters, sample Letter Link envelopes and a "Go Go goes for gold" animation on CD.
