Are You New to Twitter?

  1. Before you can follow FOR TEACHERS for students you must have a Twitter account. To register, visit www.twitter.com/FTfs, click the 'Join today!' button and follow the instructions to sign up for a free account.
  2. Once you have a Twitter account and are signed in, visit www.twitter.com/FTfs and click the 'Follow' button.

2. Subscribe to the RSS feed of our tweets

Visit www.twitter.com/FTfs and click on the 'RSS feed of FTfs's tweets' link (highlighted with the Follow FTfs on FeedBurner icon on the right of the page).

Following are steps for subscribing to the feed for just a few of the popular browsers:

  • Internet Explorer - Click the 'Subscribe to this feed' at the top of the next page. If you would like the feed to appear in the browser's 'Favorites Bar' make sure to select 'Appear in favourites bar' option in the prompt. Now click the 'Subscribe' button.
  • Firefox - click the 'Subscribe Now' button at the top of the next page. Click the 'Subscribe' button in the prompt. By default, the feed should now appear in the browser's 'Bookmarks Toolbar'.
  • Safari - On the next page under 'Actions' (right menu) click the 'Add Bookmark...' link. Click the 'Add' button in the prompt. By default, the feed should now appear in the browser's 'Bookmarks Bar'.
  • Opera - Click the 'Subscribe' button at the top of the next page. By default, the feed should appear under the 'Feeds' menu option (top menu).

FeedBurner

The RSS feed of our tweets have been syndicated to FeedBurner feeds.feedburner.com/ForTeachersForStudents.

If you use Firefox, Safari or Opera, you can subscribe to the feed using the same steps as described above for Twitter (2. Subscribe to the RSS feed of our tweets).

If you use Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, you will need to subscribe using either a web-based news reader or other reader application (e.g. FeedDemon etc.).

Google Buzz

Are You New to Google Gmail and Buzz?

  1. Before you can follow FOR TEACHERS for students you must have a Google Gmail account. To register, visit mail.google.com/mail/signup and follow the instructions to sign up for a free account.
  2. Once you have a Gmail account and are signed in, visit www.google.com/profiles/4Teachers4Students and click the 'Follow For Teachers' button.
  3. To view our latest posts, sign in to Gmail and click on the 'Buzz' link (left menu).
