Facts for students

Here you will find information about seven animals that are classified as Endangered or Critically Endangered and are at risk of extinction. These animals are currently part of zoo and/or other conservation programs in Australia. Four of the animals are native to Australia and three are exotic (not native to Australia).

The animals are:

Endangered wildlife including: Southern Corroboree Frog, Snow Leopard, Asian Elephant, Western Lowland Gorilla, Western Swamp Tortoise, Orange-bellied Parrot and Northern Quoll.
